Assignment 5-6-09

When I did something wrong when I was younger my parents would yell at me.  They would make me see what I had done wrong and I wouldn't like it.  I would start crying and then go up to my parents and try to let them to stop being mad at me.  They would show me that they are disappointed and me and I would really hate that.  I hated disappointing my parents, yet I would still do what I did.  Then they said that they would ground me if I don't stop what I do.  But I would still be mischief.  They would get tired of me being so bad that they would yell more.  I would be scared then but still I would not listen.  Then my mom's parents (my grandparents) came and they would tell me these scary things that would happen to me if I misbehaved.  Then I started listening.  But after they leave I would start being bad again.  Then my parents told me that they would give me away to my dad's mom if I don't listen anymore.  I got scared of that.  I didn't want to leave my parents so I listened and stopped being so mischief.  But when I got older I started being stupid again.  I would lie and hurt my family.  When they got tired of that they kicked me out and I hated that.  From then on I stopped being so bad.  I would want to use what they did because I would want them to see what they are doing is wrong.  I just hope they feel the way I felt so that they can stop.  I don't really want them to feel that way but if it's the only way that they can be good then I will try it.  I hated the feeling I got when my parents did them.  But I knew they did it out of love.  So I will pray to God if they are ever mischief, I will pray that they will understand that they shouldn't be like that.  I will have faith in my father to watch over them.

Assignment 5-5-09

If I had a child I would read to them every night so that they would know that reading is a good way to learn in life.  I would also tell them about God and find ways to make games for them to know and learn about him.  I would play word games like scrabble so that they know big words in high school.  I would play games that make them learn about being polite and generous.  If I had children I would want them to know all the important things in life.  I'd also take them to church and have them enjoy singing for the Lord.  I'd have them sing for everyone in the church so that they can see how much fun it is to praise Jesus.  I would also teach them math games because it was hard for me to learn math.  I would get games like flash cards or other things.  I want what's best for them.  I'd even keep them active, I'd play games like tag, hide-and-seek, and we'd run around outside so that they can have fun and stay healthy.  About anything to keep them going in life.  I don't want them to be stuck to the television, playing games, going on computers.  I want them to be good and behave in class or at home or even at friends' houses.  They would be important to me, not more important then God, but they would be important.

REPENT

I repented last weekend and I loved it.  I was so happy to have done so too.  I mean I really felt the love that God was sending me.  I felt the prayers from those who were proud to have me saved and I was so happy to give myself to God.  Many who I didn't know hugged me and prayed for me.  They even told me that they loved me and I just thanked them all.  That was the most happiest moment of my life.  Once you repent there's nothing thats more better.  We have to give ourselves to God because he's coming soon.  We have to be ready to be taken to heaven.  You'll be so happy to have given yourself to God.  Praising God is the best thing in the world.  A guy that talked to us in church said that he had a dream about a big clock, so big that he couldn't see the whole thing.  Well that clock showed that we have only five minutes left and we don't know how much is five minutes so we have to be prepared.  People are saying that he'll come after two years but thats wrong he may come sooner than that.  He may come tomorrow, right now, or maybe even sooner.  Please I want everyone to be saved.  I don't want God to say that you can't go to heaven, I don't want him to send you to hell.  I want him to say welcome home to heaven.  Welcome to the place where you belong.  So please give yourself to God and soon before it's too late.

if i had a baby i would make sure he/she eats healthy. i would try not to let them have something that will ruin their teeth. i'll let them see that health comes first before candy. i'd also teach them about our Lord, Jesus Christ. i want them to know that he died on the cross for our sins. also i would make she they dont have anything sharp around them when they are alone in the living room or even in the room. i'd make sure everything was safe before having them do that one thing. that would make me feel safe. isn't that funny? well also i would not want them to hit or mock anyone. i'd want them to know that bullying or being mean hurts and i wouldn't want them to make anyone's life bad. i would also teach them forgive and forget, that even if people are mean to them that they should treat them with respect and show them that he/she loves them no matter what they do. i would not want them to be in an enviroment with a lot of violence. i'd want them to see the good things in life and not the bad. so that they can always be happy even if everything seems bad. life is a part of living and a part of dying. but i want them to know how to spend their time wisely. i want them to praise God so that they can go on to a better place after death. i would want whats best for them and im sure everything will work out fine because i have faith in my God to make everything good again. so i know that he'll help me with kids if i had any. these kids need guidance and they will get it if you try and teach them what you can.

A TEENAGER'S VIEW OF HEAVEN

A TEENAGER'S VIEW OF HEAVEN
17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. "I wowed 'me," he later told his father, Bruce. "It's a killer.. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote.." It also was the last.

Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole.. He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted..

The Moores framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. "I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it," Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision of life after death. "I'm happy for Brian.
I know he's in heaven. I know I'll see him."

Brian's Essay: "The Room..."

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read 'Girls I have liked.' I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.

This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match.. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content.. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named 'Friends' was next to one marked 'Friends I have betrayed.' The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird 'Books I Have Read,' 'Lies I Have Told,' 'Comfort I have Given,' 'Jokes I Have Laughed at .' Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: 'Things I've yelled at my brothers.' Others I couldn't laugh at: 'Things I Have Done in My Anger', 'Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents..' I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.

Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked 'TV Shows I have watched', I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked 'Lustful Thoughts,' I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.

I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!' In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards... But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.

Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.

And then I saw it.. The title bore 'People I Have Shared the Gospel With.' The handle was brighter than those around it, seemed newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.

No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.

He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands, and I began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things.. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.


Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. 'No!' I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was 'No, no,' as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back.. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side.

He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, 'It is finished.' I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.


'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. '-Phil. 4:13 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.' If you feel the same way forward it so the love of Jesus will touch their lives also... My 'People I shared the gospel with' file just got bigger, how about yours?

How I would help stimulate my baby sister, nieces, and nephews is that I would give them healthy foods to eat like fruits and vegetables. I'd try not to give them any fats or sweets because I don't want them to get stuck to that kind of junk when they get older. Then I would try to teach them things that they need to know when they get into school. Like their numbers and alphabets. But most of all I'd try to teach them manners and good behavior. Also I'd like them to know about God because I want them to know how we were created in life and why we were set here by God. That's what I would do to help them with everything like their stimulation. Also I'd be more careful not to get so mad at them. I wouldn't want to yell or grab something angrily because I don't want them to stress out from it. I'd try to be kind, understanding, and helpful.

Psalms 82:3

Travis and I went to the friends church tonight. We listened to a young Yupik tell us about his death experience.

He said that he tried to commit suicide with pills in his village outside of Bethel. When the got to the clinic, the health aides tried to ask him why he was vomitting blood. He said that the devil was trying to lie to him by telling him he would bring him to a beautiful place (which is actually hell) if he didn't tell the health aides that he tried to commit suicide by swallowing a bunch of pills. He said something made him tell the truth and then after that, his soul went into hell. He died for four minutes and this what he said.

"I'll never be able to tell you how bad the stink was. I can't explain it but it's the worst stink."

"There were people suffering everywhere, their screams were nonstop. There were black souls dropping from the sky and most of them were teenagers. They yelled, Mom! Dad! Help me! But nothing could be done for them. They were naked and worms were on their bodies and flesh was hanging from their bones. They were burning and so was I. The tormenting didn't stop, no matter what."

"Everywhere there was ground, it kept falling down to make more room for more people going to hell."

And then, he felt himself being pulled up to the sky. He said that when he reached heaven, the lord said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. He wanted to let the young man know that there is life after death. He wanted to let him spread the word that He is coming soon, sooner than we think. He wants more people to be saved and that he doesn't want them to go to the horrible place of hell.

The young man saw his brothers that his mom miscarried. He saw his great grandfather and his aunt. When his aunt died, she had grey hair and was in a wheel chair. But when he saw her in heaven, she was beautiful and young.

When he saw his own mansion, God watched him walk around looking at everything, under everything, around everything. And when God asked him what he was looking for, he said to God, "I don't see any shadows." God answered, "There is no darkness in the house of the Lord."

He saw the streets were made of gold. And the flowers were so beautiful, they even had diamonds. And when everyone praised God, the flowers poofed the most beautiful smell that can't be explained.

Then God told him it was not his time, he had to return to earth to tell everyone to prepare for Him. He said to the youth, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

Please say a prayer for everyone in your family so that there may be hope for each one that is hurting somehow. Either pain and suffering, or drugs and alcohol. There is a God and may he be with you as you read this email.

God

What I've been told while I was growing was that God is a jealous God. He wants us to put him first and never worship any other. Also that if we are ashamed of him that he will be ashamed of us. Come time he will reject us when we reject him. Couple months ago I had read in the bible that if we disobey him he will not hesitate to curse or punish us. The curse we will recieve will be worse then we've ever known. So please whatever you do, don't make the wrong choice. There's an even worse punishment when you die. Hell is no place where we should be at all. So please make sure you turn yourself to God and be saved. Ask him to forgive you of you sins and to come into your heart. I want everyone to be saved I don't want anymore people going to Hell.

Hi. My name is Lillian (Paul) Moore, originally from Kongiganak now living in Fairbanks. I just wanted to pass this on to everyone I know and I would like for you to do the same. I just had a dream this morning about the world coming to an end and He came to pick up his people. At first, we were at our house in Anchorage, and somehow we ended up in my hometown in Kongiganak. Somehow everyone knew that that day was the end and everyone was waiting for Him to come. We were in a large tent, me my mom, my dad, my baby brother, and other people that were from all over the village, Akiac. He was so beautiful and wore a beautiful white robe. The sky was nice and blue and weather was so calm. He gathered his people and most that always go to church didn't make it. (I don't know why) But he has gathered his people and a lot have been left behind. It was so sad to watch people that tried to save themselves in the last minute. After he has gathered his people, the devil gathered his. He was so ugly and had long horns and laughing at the people that weren't saved. The sky turned pink and ugly and there was a timer behind him. Time was ticking and it started flooding

What I heard

God is coming soon and if your not a believer you'd better ask to be. If you don't believe and ask God to come into your heart you will go to hell and you will not be saved. I don't want my family and friends to go to hell but if they don't change I'm afraid that they will go to hell. We have to understand that God is the most important thing in the world. He is more important than our looks our lives. He wants us to understand that. We have to put everything that we love after him. He goes before us and our loved ones. I know it's hard to love him first but then we have to try. And thats what he wants us to do is try. I used to be afraid to tell everyone about him and i was always ashamed but now I'm not. Because I found out that if we're ashamed of him then he will be ashamed of us. I don't want him to be ashamed of me, do you?? Now please try and give yourself to God he would really appreciate and he would be very happy to have you on his side and not the devils. I love you all and I want you guys to go to heaven not hell. How I take things

What I do when I'm angry or upset is that I take it out. I used to punch walls or other things. Now I just scream and shout. It's funny and very fun

What I think

Life isn't easy and no one said it would be. I learned that the hard way. When I was younger I was scared of everything. Then when I moved to Quinhagak I changed. I stopped being scared of every little thing that was going to happen to me. When life really happens it changes you. I used to wish I was never born or that I wasn't here but my friends and family introduced me to God and I felt a little bit better. He changed me and I'm so happy he did. I made a lot of bad choices but I think that were not suppose to look back and regret but look back and learn. My elders always came to our school to teach us the things they had learned while they were growing up and it taught me so many things. They taught me how to see things from a different view even my experiences taught me to be a little bit wise. Yes I make a mistake once in a while but then I neverregret what I did. I ask for forgiveness and learn from it. Most times I never learned and then I thought about it and knew I made a mistake and try my best to do what I can. So never regret and always learn from your mistakes. Make life worth living and try and be happy.
